Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our Opening Weekend is Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 May.

    We will have:

    • $10 classes to see what we are all about

    • Our best ever not to be repeated opening membership and pack deals

    • Time for you to see our studio, chat about your goals and see how we can help you feel your best with Pilates.

  • No problem! We recommend starting with our Stretch class or Mat class as these tend to have a little more time for you to get your bearings and get the most out of your first class.

Please arrive 10 minutes before your first class so our friendly instructors can show you the studio and any equipment we may be using before class starts.

During your classes we will guide you through the movements so you can feel stronger, more flexible and more confident in what your body can do.

Don’t worry, you will be a pro with us in no time.

  • It depends.

If you are recovering from a recent injury and want to do our classes for rehabilitation, we are not suited for your needs. Our classes are group fitness focused, and while our instructors are highly knowledgeable and professional, we are not physiotherapists or the like. However our Private Sessions would be able to meet your needs.

However, if you have an old injury that you haven’t quite recovered 100% from, or any general aches and pains or niggles, then you absolutely can do our classes! We need you to tell us about this, so we can ensure we modify the classes as needed.

If you have any medical conditions that impact on your ability to do exercise, we will require you to get a letter from your doctor or health professional stating that you are able to do our classes. This is for your safety.

If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to give us a call or contact us by email. We’re here to help.

  • We practice the full Pilates method across a range of Pilates equipment so you get the full Pilates experience.

We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with clear communication and reliable results.

It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.

  • Yes! You can attend our Stretch, EveryBody, Stability, Unwind and Mat classes but not Cardio, Strong or Studio class.

If you are more than 10 weeks pregnant, before your first class you will need to provide us with a medical clearance (from your GP or obstetrician) for exercise.

You need to tell your instructor before each class that you are pregnant, and how many weeks you are, so we can ensure we modify the class for you as needed.

  • All participants must book their class prior to coming to the studio.

We use the bookamat system. You can either:

    • Book via our website on the Schedule page.

    • Register here then use the bookamat webpage to book.

    • Download the bookamat app by going to bookamat.co (don’t put the usual www at the front) on your mobile phone using Chrome, Edge or Safari browsers and click Install App or Add to Homescreen pop up that will appear. You can then use the app to find us and book your class.

Feel free to contact us if you are having any issues.

  • Whatever you want!

Any comfortable clothes that you can move in will be absolutely fine.

  • Not really. If you want to bring a water bottle (plastic or metal, no glass), and a towel if you tend to get a bit sweaty that’s a good idea.

If you happen to have grip socks, bring those along. But they are not required so don’t worry if you don’t have any.

  • Feel free to arrive around 5-10 minutes before your class. You are more than welcome to come in and do a bit of stretching or relax before class if you like.

5 minutes after classes start the door is locked, so if you are more than 5 minutes late for class then unfortunately the instructor will not be able to let you join. This will mean your class pass will be forfeited.

  • Our entry door is located off Main Street on the side of The Cheesecake Shop Building (the old ANZ building).

On the left side of the building (where the ANZ ATM used to be) where the restaurants are - not the side deliveries alley - our entry in in that corner.

  • To ensure fairness to all our clients we have an 8 hour cancellation window. If you cancel a class less than 8 hours before the scheduled class start time, you will forfeit your class pass.

Likewise, if you book a class and don’t show up you will forfeit your class pass.

  • Our classes are for people aged 15 and over. This is because the equipment is designed for adult use.

All participants under 18 years will need to have a parent or guardian sign the waiver on their behalf before their first class. Please advise us by email before your first class if you are under 18, so we can send you the waiver for you parent or guardian to sign.
